The Filipino Living Experience

2 Weeks · $1,500 · All-Inclusive

Our signature immersion: two full weeks living as part of the Filipino community. This also includes daily meditation and wellness sessions like yoga, breath work, traditional massages and traditional herbal steam therapy. You will get to taste our communal farm-to-table cooking, island outings, and the unhurried rhythms of Filipino provincial life. Accommodation, meals, airport pick-up and drop off and all activities included.

Yoga

Morning vinyasa flows overlooking the ocean. Evening restorative sessions as the sun sets. Adaptable to all levels, our practice connects breath to the rhythms of the landscape.

Meditation

Vipassana instructions, walking meditation through the food forest, and silent dawn sits. Find the stillness between the waves and the wind.

Spiritual Retreats

Multi-day immersions combining plant medicine circles, sound healing ceremonies, and nature-based contemplative practices rooted in indigenous wisdom. We have the tea ceremony as our main offering. Herbal plants are grown from our garden and are carefully chosen according to one's needs.

Holistic Wellness

Traditional massage, herbal steam therapy, herbal tea workshops, breathwork sessions, and nutrition from our own organic gardens. Healing from the soil up.

Our Philosophy

Rooted in permanence

Kalinawan was born from a simple conviction: that the most transformative education happens when your hands are in the soil and your feet touch the earth. Founded on a mountainside overlooking the Philippine Sea, our haven integrates permaculture design, ancient wellness practices, and the discipline of the deep ocean into a single, coherent curriculum for intentional living.

We are not a resort. We are a living laboratory where students, travelers, and practitioners come to learn by doing — building structures with bamboo, harvesting rainwater, growing food in spiraling beds, diving to depths that redefine their understanding of breath, and returning to the surface changed.
