Needed by every guest, every season.

• Light, breathable clothing (quick-dry is best)
• Sturdy walking shoes or trail sandals
• Reef-safe sunscreen and insect repellent
• Reusable water bottle (we provide filtered refills)
• Headlamp or flashlight — paths are unlit at night
• Light rain jacket (essential in green season)
• Reusable bag for market days and outings
• Personal first-aid kit and any medications

We provide tools and gloves — bring the rest.

• Work clothes you don't mind staining permanently
• Rubber boots or closed shoes (available cheaply in Maasin)
• Wide-brimmed hat for sun
• Gardening gloves if you prefer your own
• Knee pads (optional but kind to the knees)
• Notebook for design sessions and field notes

Loaner masks, snorkels, and fins are free to use.

• Well-fitting mask, snorkel, and long fins if you own them
• 2–3 mm wetsuit or rash guard (rentals available)
• Swimwear and quick-dry towel
• Reef-safe sunscreen (reapply after every session)
• Motion-sickness remedy if prone (boat rides)
• Ear plugs or swim ear-drops if sensitive
• Logbook if you're pursuing AIDA certification

All tools provided; come ready for weather.

• Long-sleeve top and full-length trousers (for bush work)
• Second pair of shoes that can get wet and muddy
• Paracord or pocket knife (optional, must check in with instructors)
• Bandana or buff
• Dry bag for river crossings and rain
• Small daypack for trek days

Modest, comfortable layers are all you need.

• Loose-fitting clothes for yoga and meditation
• Yoga mat if you prefer your own (we provide communal mats)
• Warm layer for cool evenings and night meditations
• Sarong or shawl for ceremonies
• Slip-on sandals or flip-flops
